P.S. Winn

Thirty-two-year-old Greg lives a lonely life running his small repair shop. His mother died a couple of years ago, and he never met his father, but he knows that he inherited from his dad his turquoise eyes and ability to have visions of random people and places. Sometimes the visions don’t mean anything, but other times, they are crimes that need to be investigated. That’s how Greg met his best friend Frank, a police officer who helped him save a kidnapped girl. Together, Greg and Frank attempt to fix the world, fighting one crime at a time. After Greg decides to check out a particularly persistent vision, his father returns suddenly to his life, turning everything upside down. This is the fourth book I’ve read by this author, and she did it again – she had me glued to the pages, impatiently waiting for what would happen next. Winn has an amazing imagination, and the way she combined ordinary life with extraordinary elements left me stunned. It was a great read, and I enjoyed every second of it.

I have reviewed Winn's work before, and I have enjoyed every book that I have read by her. Winn has a knack for creating richly detailed settings and well-formed, interesting characters in a short amount of time. I like that there are always messages in her books, and this one is no exception. The unexpected and interesting twist that explains the reason why Greg's father was not in his life was fantastic. Viewings by P.S. Winn is a great paranormal novel with some science fiction elements included. It is long enough to allow readers to indulge in some marathon reading, but short enough that it can be finished in a few hours.

Greg is a remote viewer, helping the police to solve crimes. It is the recurring picture of a barn in his head that will take him on an incredible, supernatural journey. What is in that barn?
