Glenn Stevens

Reviewed By Anne-Marie Reynolds for Readers’ Favorite Living Next Door To A Vampire by Glenn Stevens is another of this author's short paranormal tales. Karen and Ralph live a successful life, if not a very happy one. Ralph is never home, always working and, although Karen can have anything she desires, all she craves is the attention of her husband. A new neighbor has moved into the apartment next door at the same time as a body, drained of all its blood, is found nearby. Ralph identifies the new neighbor as the person who killed the victim and, although the man is arrested, he has an alibi. Now he’s visiting Karen. He wants to convince her that he isn’t the killer. Does she believe him or will she be his next meal? Living Next Door To A Vampire by Glenn Stevens is a short vampire story with a nice little plot. There are no real twists in this one as it is obvious from the start who, or what, the new neighbor is and where the story will lead. However, it is a well-written story, getting straight to the point with none of the fluff or filler I've seen in other short stories. It flows well, has plenty going on to keep the reader hooked, and the three main characters are developed nicely in the short space available. The plot itself was tight and well-paced, easy to follow and keep up with. This story will suit fans of the vampire genre who have an hour to ‘kill’ and want something light and easy to read. https://readersfavorite.com/book-review/living-next-door-to-a-vampire

A new neighbor moves in to the apartment next door about the same time a woman is murdered nearby. Her body, drained of blood, and there are puncture wounds on her neck. The new neighbor is identified as the killer, but manages to get out of jail. He's knocking on Karen's door. He wants to be friends. He swears he's not the killer. Can she save herself or does she become his next meal?
