Miriam Hurdle

Songs of Heartstrings by Miriam Hurdle is a lovely collection of poems celebrating life’s trials, tribulations, tears, and triumphs. The title, Songs of Heartstrings, is most fitting as the poetry and prose read much like a melody of life’s joys and sorrow. A candid reflection of life embraced with gratitude and grace. The photographs and illustrations are a wonderful addition, as they capture glimpses of these precious moments now rejoiced in memory. Poetry is such a personal voyage for both the author and the reader. In this short, reflective collection, via wisdom and words, Hurdle has crafted a magnificent gift that is sure to touch the hearts of all readers. Although I enjoyed all the poems in this collection, the poem that resonated most deeply is the final poem titled Life’s Symphony. A brilliant end to this collection with a celebratory message of hope and strength as we all journey through life’s mystifying, magnificent beauty.
