Driving In Budapest is a collection of stories of regular, everyday people trying to navigate through their lives as they try to navigate the crazy streets of Budapest. Alan goes to Budapest to pursue a youthful dream to play jazz piano after his wife dies. Maria lives a solitary life and is happy with that. Then Paul Mihaly walks into her library one day. Laszlo Hajdu is an ex-secret policeman who has served his country by eliminating critics. Now that the wall is down those methods are finished and he discovers how truly empty his life has been. Daniel brings his family to Budapest to honor his father's request. His father had to flee after the failed 1956 revolution. When Daniel arrives to re-unite with the Fekete clan, he gets the surprise of his life. Andras is a young man in a hurry. He has no time to waste with history or its aftermath. He lives now, not then. When a professor tasks him with writing the history of his own neighborhood in WW2 by interviewing the old people who were there, he rebels..... until he discovers a startling fact that changes his world view forever. Follow along with these folks as they try their best to keep hope and love alive and despair and loss at bay.
