She encounters descendants of Dr. Barnardo’s British Home Children, gold rush fever, an unconsecrated baby burial, ghost hunting tourists and infringing upscale cottage estates.
Befriended by the old schoolhouse ghosts and community, Alice is challenged to survive and overcome a lonely life.
