Irene Baron: Biography
Irene Baron was named Top Female Writer of the Year 2020 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). She was also awarded the 2020 Marquis Who's Who, Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement designation.
Irene Baron began her writing career as an Information Specialist with Battelle Memorial Institute under contract to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Advanced Research Projects Agency, Supreme Command Center, Research & Development Center-Thailand. With this organization, she authored the Geology and Hydrology sections of the classified Mekong River Project book. Under the World Engineers Joint Council in she studied Coordinate Indexing, Procedural Steps, Information Systems, Syntactical Problems, Information Retrieval, Thesauri, Relationships of Knowledge, Information Data, etc. Awarded National Science Foundation fellowships at Texas A&M University, Portland State University, and the University of Missouri graduate schools she studied Geology, Minerals, Volcanology, Oceanography, and Meteorology. Her degrees include Hiram College, BA and Ohio University, MA. Ms. Baron has presented workshops for the Science Education Council of Ohio, the Ohio Earth Science Teachers Association, local, state and regional educational organizations.
Baron taught high school Earth Science & Astronomy 20+ years. She was the Administrator/Instructor for the Regional and International Marine & Insular Biology taught in the Bahamas. As multi-year Editor of the Ohio Earth Science Teachers Newsletter she authored numerous educational articles. Ohio & Delaware Educational certification has included Assistant Superintendent, High School Principal, Middle School Principal, and Teacher for all sciences grades 7-12. She has taught Classical Drawing at the Zanesville Art Center in Ohio.
As a private pilot, Baron is rated in the Piper Cherokee and complex Piper Arrow airplanes. In 2004 her aerial photograph of the National Flags and the National Flag truck won First Place in the Americana division in a national photographic contest with Smithsonian Magazine.
Irene is currently writing the paranormal thriller fiction MINDREACHER series about VESPER, the Virtual ExtraSensory Perception Experimental Research project.
Irene Baron is author and illustrator of the non-fiction book Unraveling the Christmas Star Mystery. This book was awarded the First Place Gold Medal as the 2013 Exemplary Christian Education Book by the Jenkins Group during the Illumination Book Awards.
In 2018 She authored MARY KNEW- A Biography of Mary from Ancient Scriptures.
