Adiela Akoo's Webpage
Adiela Akoo, a recipient of the prestigious Dux Award, is a South African poet/writer with a background in banking and comprehensive healing. Her poems and essays first appeared in print in the quarterly literary journal, The Moving Finger. She has since been internationally published in a variety of magazines and journals, including Fidelities, and the following anthologies: Different Horizons, Sincerely Yours and Emotional Journey's'. Lost in a Quatrain is her debut collection and poems from this collection have been quoted in the South African House of Parliament, nominated as Poem of the Day on PoemHunter, been included in a historic South African Apartheid anthology called "25Years of Freedom", included in an anthology in Ireland and various other international ezines. Her poetry has also been translated into Turkish and most recently, into Bangla and published in a monthly magazine in Bangladesh called SUFI
